Edit the Host File in Windows 8 and 8.1

  1. Open Windows explorer from the task bar.
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc
  3. Find the file “hosts”
  4. Right click on the hosts file and open with notepad
  5. Add or change the host you need
  6. save the file making sure you set the file type as All Files
